The Carpco® Model MOS (10) 111-15 is an easy-to-operate top-fed dry low-intensity magnetic separator designed for laboratory use in the removal of ferromagnetic particles.
Material to be separated is allowed to pass over a stainless-steel housing beneath which permanent ceramic magnets are fixed. The drum rotates in the same direction as the feed material. Magnetic particles adhere to the surface of the separator’s shell and are carried around the curvature by the magnetic force against the rotating drum. An adjustable splitter divides magnetic and nonmagnetic fractions as they discharge from the drum surface.
This unit treats particles ranging from 6mm (3 mesh) down to 74µm (200 mesh) in size and an average capacity ranging from 100 to 250 kg/h (220 to 550 lbs/hr).

- Scalping ferromagnetic material prior to high-intensity magnetic separation
- Removal of ferrous material from powders, foodstuffs, minerals, waste materials, etc.
