Outotec's Pori Research Center focuses on mineral technology, metallurgical research (hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy and ferrous technology) and material technology. Experimental research covers pilot plants and analytical services including environmental measurements.

Outotec has fully equipped laboratories and two bench scale pilot facilities to carry out supporting research services, such as studies in materials selection, analytical chemistry, fluid dynamics and modeling and simulation. The state-of-the-art laboratories in Pori are constantly improved and developed to guarantee outstanding research quality and accuracy.

Outotec Pori Research Center produces accredited gas and emission measurements for inhouse and external clients including:

Certified quality
The consistent quality of the research work is ensured by SFS-EN ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate. The Pori Research Center can also offer versatile chemical analysis and field measurement. Emission measurements in waste gases are accredited by FINAS, Finnish Accreditation Service. In addition, the research center has a certificate of the occupational health and safety management system OHSAS 18001 and the environmental system ISO 14001.
