Liquid graphite systems, employ a simple method of coating the entire stub to promote release of the cast iron thimble during stripping. System designs are to suit the customers requirements with possibilities including dip tanks, or spray systems.
Electrostatic systems permit the use of graphite powder rather than liquid graphite. The powdered graphite is charged through a specialized grid with unique insulation systems. The charged graphite then adheres to the stubs which are at ground potential.
