For the continuous cooling of vibrocompacted anodes we offer the Anode Cooling Conveyor.

Anodes can be cooled down by spraying or immersion. We offer two different designs:
- Chain Conveyor
- Power & Free Conveying System
With the Power & Free conveying system also a combination of water spray and immersion cooling is possible.
Process Description
Hot and good green anodes will be transported into a spray cooling section where cooling water will be sprayed onto the surface of the anode blocks by a nozzle spraying system while they are transferred through an enclosure. Generated vapour is sucked off by ventilators placed on top of the completely housed Cooling Tunnel. Step time for the chain conveyor is given by the cycle time of the vibrating compactor.
Spraying nozzles are arranged in a way to guarantee a complete and intensive wetting of the total anode surfaces with process water. Cooling water will be collected in a concrete basin underneath the cooling conveyor to be pumped back to the Cooling Water Treatment System. Remaining Water in the stub holes will be blown out by compressed air after cooling and will flow back to the concrete cooling basin. The anode surface will also be dried by means of this system.
