The Carpco® T-Stat (Triboelectrostatic Separator) is a high-capacity electrostatic separator capable of separating two nonconductive materials that have different electrical charges.
These newly designed machines have the capability to render separations in many applications (both mineral and recycling) where triboelectrically charged particles can be efficiently separated.
The T-Stat utilizes an electrostatic field produced by high voltage sources (up to 120 kV DC) to divert charged particles as they fall through the field. Charged particles are attracted to the electrode with the opposite charge and are collected by an adjustable splitter. Depending upon the feed rate, inherent particle charge, electrode voltage, and surrounding ambient conditions, highly efficient separation can be made.
