In this issue of the Smelting Newsletter the Rio Tinto Kennecott Smelter is discussed in detail. Additionally, improvements to the Saganoseki Smelter in Japan is reviewed to highlight changes made to the original design to accomodate needed increases in the feeding rate and changes in the Cu grade of concentrate. Moreover, technical improvements that have been completed throughout several years at the Tamano Smelter and Refinery are discussed. This issue of the Smelting Newsletter also includes a review of a shutdown at Aurubis's Hamburg's Huelva Smelter discussing key improvements completed during the shutdown.
